Next term September 2021 - 6 places remaining.
Poppies Farm provides a variety of options for your school to visit the Farm, either physically or virtually. We also offer regular classes on the farm utilising our on-site 'Classroom'. Programmes are tailored to your curriculum needs as part of Science, English and even Maths! We specialise in education programs for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and people who struggle with maintaining Mental Health.
Our school classroom zoom calls with Farmer Jo have been super popular. A class is given a regular time for their Farmer Jo visit and receive a personalised tour of the farm with the spotlight on a different animal each week. There is lots of opportunity for the class to ask questions and learn at their own pace.
We offer specialist Primary and Secondary educational and holistic visits with our livestock. Sheep, Cows, Ponies, Pigs, Goats, Chickens, Quails, Ducks, Guinea Pigs and Rabbits are available. Depending on the season, Lambs ,Calves, Piglets and Chicks are also on the farm for Children and Adults to interact with.
We are currently working with 3 local primary schools to have livestock seasonally situated within school grounds. Children are taught how to care for the animals and experience the many well being benefits of being around nature and animals.

Help Poppies Farm create an outdoor SEND classroom
Poppies Farm now have students from local schools attending and benefiting from the farming life. But we don't have the funds to finish building the classroom and out door area.
Somewhere where the children can write about their experience on the farm, somewhere to relax and socialise with each other and build on their social skills.
Any amount that you can donate will be added to the building fund, you are welcome to visit the farm and see how we help people of all ages.
